September Newsletter 2025

We are pleased to announce that Peel Public Health (PPH) and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health (WDGPH) will be providing dental screening for students in select grades in DPCDSB elementary schools during the 2025-2026 school year.

There is no cost for this dental screening at school. A dental screening is a quick assessment by a registered dental hygienist who will look inside the child's mouth. A dental screening identifies children who may need dental care. Oral health is an important part of a child’s overall health.

St. Aidan's Dental Screening will take place during the month of May, 2026.

All students in FDK (JK and SK), Grade 2 and Grade 7 will receive a dental screening unless parents opt out of the screening.

To opt out, parents must complete and submit the Peel Public Health opt-out form via http://www.peelregion.ca/dental/schoolscreening or they can call Peel Public Health directly at 905-799-7700.
